Who we are

Francie describes herself as a person of dedication, compassion, faith and "Passion with a Purpose"

Francie's lifelong concern and empathy for the marginalized people in her community, and our current homeless problem, of epic proportion is an issue that has pulled at her heart strings and a call for action.

Being involved in several community outreach programs with her church and local rescue programs through the years, she has seen the homeless problem escalate, not only in her own community but nation and worldwide. The current homeless crisis in her community, with so many people sleeping and living on the streets, due to the economic downturn, propelled her to action to create the Care Cart Haven® , in hopes of extending help towards those who have to cope with the tragedy of losing everything, and forced out into the street. So Francie came up with an inventive way to address housing instability in her community, America and around the world; She reached out to a group of talented professionals, who also had a passion for the mounting homeless problem and shared her vision and design for portable homeless shelters for those who are at the mercy of nature.

She realizes that this is not a problem that can be solved alone and believes we all need to look to each other and share our ideas, involving non profits and governments to assist in addressing this monumental humanitarian crisis.

It is Francie's hope that The Care Cart Haven® will play a significant role in reducing the scale of unsheltered homelessness in communities and provide a temporary refuge from the elements, while they await transitional housing.

She believes we can all make a difference if we Care for each other.

"We really can change the world if we Care enough. I am willing to serve and do what I have to do, we can all reach out and be willing to serve...Because I care" ~ Marion W Edelman
